Problem of Academic Writing

"If academic writing is bullshit, then bullshit is what we teach."(p374) When i was reading this article this quotation gave me hard time understanding it. Just because there people out their who brake the system and write stuff that have no meaning or is just bullshit that does not gives us write to say that the whole system is bullshit. If there is bad stuff in the academic system then it is job of the teachers to say ok this is not worthy of collage level classes or i will not make my student buy that book. But to say just cause there is bad academic writing is out there the whole system is bullshit is wrong. If we look at it that way then in what ever field u look in u will see bullshit.
